Michael loved Gavin more than anything. In his eyes, Gavin was the most beautiful person in the world- no matter how obnoxious he could get. No one could stand in the way of Mogar and his Vav.
Most of their dates consisted of ordering pizza and playing video games together after work. Michael would get angry, even if he won, and it would be Gavin’s job to kiss him and calm him down.
“Hey, it’s just a game! Stop being such a mingey little spaff!” Gavin would say after Michael died.
“I’ll be a mingey little spaff all I want to!” Michael would retort. “OH, COME ON! I bet he’s hacking!”
Gavin giggled, “Let’s take a break, I don’t like seeing you so angry.” He kissed Michael on the nose before getting up to turn off their xbox while the latter discarded the empty pizza box and beer bottles.
When they finally went to bed after talking about anything that came to mind, Gavin curled up against Michael, head resting on the other’s chest. Michael reached over Gavin’s head to turn off the lamp while whispering, “Love you, Gavers.”
“I love you too.”
There were a few moments of silence before;
“Hey, Mi-coo?”
“Yea, Gav?”
“How much do you love me?”
“How much do I love you?” Michael thought. “I love you beyond the ends of the earth, to the outer reaches of the galaxy. I love you with the passion of thousands of burning stars, enough to combat all the hatred of humanity.”
There was a pause, then Gavin began, “Well, I love you all the way to the edge of the ever-expanding universe, from the beginning of time, to the end of the world. I love you enough to fill every living person’s heart, and still have enough to give to you. I love you more than anything, and I will love you, past the day we die, for all eternity.”
Michael chuckled, kissing Gavin’s forehead, “Always have to one-up me.”
“It’s my job,” Gavin mumbled, burying his face in Michael’s neck. “Good-night, my love.”
“Good-night, Gavin.”
